The 2025 Guide to Color Correction in Baton Rouge

What color correction actually is, why it takes so long, how it's priced — and how to walk into your consultation prepared.

Color correction is the specialty service every client hopes they'll never need — and the one they're most grateful for when they do. Here's what to expect.

What counts as color correction

Any service that undoes a previous color result: reversing brassy or banded blonde, lifting box dye, evening out uneven highlights, taking dark hair back to natural, or moving between color families (red → brown, brown → blonde, etc.).

Why it takes so long

Multiple lightening passes with rest windows between each, custom-formulated tone, and often a bond-repair treatment layered throughout. Sessions run 4–8 hours and may require a follow-up visit 2–4 weeks later.

How it's priced in Baton Rouge

Color correction is billed hourly (rate set per stylist level) rather than as a flat service. You'll receive a written estimate at your consultation.
